Can You Hear Me?
20th June 2015

Our chamber choir sang "Can You Hear Me?" by Bob Chilcott this morning at the Sevenoaks Festival. They also sang "The Spooky Song" as part of a competition and had a lovely, outdoor rehearsal in the grounds of Walthamstow Hall Senior School.

Our clarinet group performed with panache and verve and were awarded a distinction and won best in class!

Their performance followed our Summer Concert yesterday afternoon.

Pupils from Year 2 to Year 8 entertained parents, friends and staff with their voices and their instruments.

They included a euphonium, a bassoon, saxophones, guitars, violins, clarinets, drums, flutes, cellos, trumpets, trombones, french horns and boomwhackers!

Many parents and grandparents, veterans of our many musical performances here at Somerhill, felt that this was the best concert yet.

Praise indeed. Well done boys and girls. Thank you Miss Findlay and Mrs Lordon and all of our peripatetic music teachers.

In the words of Bob Chilcott, "I look around me as I grow, I`d like to tell you all I know, can you hear me?".
