Caterpillars & Butterflies
23rd June 2016

Miss Hutchings’ Reception class have been learning about bugs and today they presented their very first assembly to Pre-Prep and their parents.

We heard all about two little caterpillars sunbathing, watching aeroplanes, hot air balloons and butterflies fly by. They ate lots of leaves and slept in their cosy sleeping bags and hey presto – their wings appeared! The children had painted beautiful pictures of so many species of butterfly. They presented a Small Copper, Green Hairstreak, Ringlet, Clouded Yellow, Wall Brown, Tortoise Shell, Silver-Studded Blue, Speckled Wood, Painted Lady, Common Blue, Purple Hairstreak, Peacock, Marbled White, Chalk Hill Blue and an Orange Tip!

Thank you for your confident speaking, colourful pictures and very informative assembly.
