Do you dig Yr 6?
27th February 2014

Yesterday, Mr Knight’s year 6 class went out to the woods and spent some time digging holes. They are currently studying the Louis Sachar novel ‘Holes,’ and as a way into some creative writing, Mr Knight thought it best to give the boys the opportunity to experience what it is like trying to dig a hole “five feet wide, five feet deep.”  In the novel, a group of naughty boys must dig a hole every day as  a form of punishment. “If you take a bad boy and make him dig a hole every day in the hot sun, it will turn him into a good boy.” We are wondering if it could work at YC!
