Volunteers

As a school, we believe strongly in harnessing our local community's strength and supporting those communities around us. We are also conscious that retirees remain young at heart, in mind, and often in body, and still have much to offer should they wish to remain active and engaged in community life. As such, and in support of retired community members, we are seeking to recruit one or two volunteers willing to support the Somerhill community.

Some individuals may have a particular skill to offer alongside their life experience; however, volunteers should have an overriding ambition to be engaged and suitably active in a community environment.

The school intends to consider retired community members, including grandparents and carers, for this unpaid role. Please note that current parents will not be offered an interview. All volunteers must undergo the necessary safer recruitment checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Enhanced check.
