Food and nutrition

We support our pupils in developing healthy attitudes towards food and nutrition. Every day, they have a morning snack and a hot lunch with fruit or pudding, and Pre-School pupils also have an afternoon snack. We promote good table manners and encourage our pupils to view lunchtime as a social occasion.

We cater for a range of dietary needs and restrictions, including those for religious observance and water is available throughout the day. We do ask that you record these restrictions in full on the medical consent form during your child’s admission, and update them via the School Nurse or form on the Parent Portal if anything changes. If your child is asked to bring food in to school for a snack/cake sale or other event, it must not contain nuts.

Below is a sample menu to give you an idea of what is provided. You can find the up to date lunch menu in the Parent Portal.
