We are thrilled to introduce our new parent-toddler classes, starting in September 2025! We cannot wait for your toddler to meet new friends, have fun, and begin their early learning journey with us.
Our parent-toddler classes are engaging and fun programmes designed specifically for toddlers and their parents or carers. Whether you are looking to sign up for one session a week or all three, there is something for everyone! Join us and be part of an exciting new chapter at Somerhill - where learning, play, and connection come together.
For toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years. Booking is on a half-termly basis due to limited spaces.

Splash and play - fun awaits in our swimming pool
Tuesdays 8:15-9:15 (session one) and 8:45-9:45 (session two) | £12.50 per session
Get ready for giggles, splashes, and unforgettable bonding time! Our splash and play sessions transform swimming into a joyful adventure during which toddlers explore the water with confidence and excitement. Held in our warm, welcoming pool, the children will enjoy playful games, gentle water activities, and tons of encouragement as they develop coordination and early swimming skills.
Parents and carers will join their toddler in the water, alongside our trained swimming teachers, creating a special opportunity to support their toddler’s confidence while sharing in a memorable early swimming experience.
With family changing rooms available for your convenience, the whole experience is as easy and enjoyable as it is enriching.
Tots in motion: music and movement - dance, sing and play together!
Wednesdays 8:45-9:45 | £7.50 per session
Tots in motion is a fun, high-energy session where toddlers and their parents or carers get to groove, move, balance, sing and explore the world of music and movement! Each week at our tots in motion classes, we mix it up for a whole lot of fun!
Movement:
Tumbling, balance challenges, and exciting obstacle courses! These activities are designed to build strength, coordination, and confidence while having fun together. Your toddler will be moving, giggling, and growing in every way - as will you, too!
Musical exploration:
Sing, dance, and tap along to your toddler’s favourite tunes! With instruments like tambourines and maracas, toddlers will experience the joy of music in a fun and interactive way, perfect for introducing rhythm, sound, and melody.
Parents and carers will be alongside, helping guide and cheer on their toddlers through every activity. It is the perfect opportunity to bond, laugh together, and help develop essential motor skills.
Mini Saplings - Forest School fun and adventure in our Somerhill woodland
Thursdays 8:45-9:45 | £7.50 per session
Calling all little explorers (and their grown-ups)! Join us for Mini Saplings, a magical Forest School session, especially designed for toddlers and their parents or carers. This session is all about sparking imagination, developing fine motor skills, and enjoying quality time outdoors—rain or shine!
Bug hunting, tree exploring, nature-inspired crafts, welly walks, puddle-jumping, sensory art fun, and songs and stories around the campfire, all led by our experienced Forest School-trained teachers. Each session is packed with hands-on fun, confidence-building adventures, and joyful moments, surrounded by nature.
