JAG’s Easter holiday camp at Somerhill

When school closes for two weeks, and work doesn’t, life can quickly become a juggling act — balancing meetings, routines and restless energy at home.

This Easter, Holiday HQ returns to Somerhill, delivered by Junior Adventures Group (JAG), our trusted wraparound care provider, with dedicated leaders for each age group.

Monday 30 March – Friday 10 April

As children grow, what they want from their holidays changes too. What excites a five-year-old doesn’t always motivate a ten-year-old.

This Easter, Holiday HQ evolves with them. Two age-specific programmes will be available:

Holiday HQ U8s (ages 4–7)

For younger children, confidence grows through structure, encouragement and imagination. U8s explore the great outdoors through hands-on creativity, outdoor play and guided team challenges designed for their stage.

This Easter, U8s will:

🏃 Take on mini obstacle courses and team challenges
🐊 Work together to cross the crocodile river challenge
🪁 Take part in the kite and Flight challenge
🌿 Create wildflower seed pops to take home and watch grow
🏏 Play high-energy games like kangaroo cricket and crab football

Supportive and structured — helping younger children feel settled and proud of what they’ve achieved.

Holiday HQ 8+ (ages 8–12)

 As children get older, many holiday clubs can start to feel too young. The 8+ programme is designed for older children ready for greater independence, energy and challenge.

This programme includes:

⚽ Zorb battles and competitive arena-style games
🏃 Challenge tag and strategic outdoor missions
🪓 Plastic axe-throwing target challenges
🦾 Assembling and testing working robotic arms
🏗 Team engineering challenges

Structured and supervised, with challenge at the right level — a space where older children feel stretched, not stuck between age groups.
