Somerhill pupils are empathetic and generous, and enjoy taking part in activities that benefit other people and the community. They aim to be responsible global citizens who respect themselves, each other, and the world around them. We are proud of the fundraising they achieve every year. Our Charities Coordinator liaises between the school and local, national and international charities.
We have recently supported a number of charities including, the RSPCA, Save the Children, Sports Relief, Barnes Lodge Care Home, Plastic Free Schools, Surfers Against Sewage, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, The Community Storehouse Paddock Wood, The Royal British Legion and The Hospice in the Weald.
Our Harvest festivals in recent years have supported local foodbanks, and the children hold regular bake sales, with the proceeds going to a charity nominated by the pupils every half term
