We are blessed with a beautiful school set in acres of outstanding grounds that are carefully managed by Ben Sceal and his team in partnership with advice from Natural England.

This unending mission to protect and restore our natural world requires great skill, knowledge, and plenty of enthusiasm. With hopes to inspire new interest in the environment The Somerhill Green Team applied to The Woodland Trust for a tree pack. They chose moisture loving hedging that would cope with our terrain and we had big plans for a whole school planting day. 420 saplings arrived at the beginning of November and we have worked hard to ensure as many pupils are involved whilst maintaining our class bubbles.

We aim to progress with further Green Team, Growing Somerhill plans when we are able.
