Saplings Get Busy
Crafting with Nature

Sapling pupils have been delving into egg crafting, mastering the art of nest-making and creating speckled clay eggs rolled in soil and flour. 🥚 The children sorted sticks in sizes to lay the fire, starting with large, thick sticks at the bottom and practised fire safety. To experiment with natural dyes, they boiled some onion skins and used them for their egg decorating. Our little explorers built a collaborative nest using various-sized sticks, carrying and sawing them to length. They also collected sap in a bottle from silver birch branches.
