A great day was had by all as we celebrated British Science Week in SPP last Thursday. The children were delighted to carry out their own investigations, which included creating rainbows through diffusion, growing crystals, creating mazes with magnets, exploring the sense of taste, creating cress head creatures and so much more. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Silly Science workshop!
Our Year six boys were invited to Sevenoaks School for a fun science workshop during Science Week. The first two groups focused on forces – balloon racing, parachute dropping, plane flying and buoyant boats. The second group experienced electricity and magnets – steady hand testers, static electricity, electromagnets and magnet races. Each group was lead by a group of Sevenoaks students, who were amazing teachers for the sessions.
