Sefer Torah
Judaism

Pupils enjoyed a practical exploration of key terms and religious artefacts in their studies of Judaism and the Holy Books last week in PRE. Using a Yad to read the Sefer Torah, from right to left, they donned a kippah and a prayer shawl to complete the experience. They learned that each Torah is handwritten by a sofer and contains 304,805 words in Hebrew or Yiddish.
